Terms of Service

These terms cover your purchase and use of The Way Back ("the book"), sold through this website by Toby (@its.toby.again) ("I", "me", "my").

"Toby" is the name I write and publish under, and the name I trade as for this sale. My legal name and registered address are the ones on the payment and tax records for this sale, and are available on request.

By buying the book you agree to what's below. It's written plainly on purpose.

1. Who you're buying from

The book is written and supplied by me. The sale itself is handled by Polar Software, Inc., 3500 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901, acting as merchant of record and authorised reseller. That means Polar is the seller of record on your receipt and your card statement, and they handle payment, invoicing and sales tax.

Polar's own buyer terms apply to the payment itself, alongside these terms. Anything about the book — how to read it, a refund, a file that won't open — comes to me.

2. What you get

A single digital book, delivered as a PDF file, roughly 148 pages, available to download immediately after payment and also sent to the email address you paid with.

It is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, nothing renews, and you will not be charged again.

3. Delivery

Download access is given straight after payment on the confirmation page, and a copy of the link is emailed to you. If the download doesn't work for any reason, email toby@getwayback.co from the address you paid with and I'll send the file to you directly.

I own the copyright in the text and illustrations. Buying the book gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to read it, not ownership of the work.

5. Refunds

There is a 90-day guarantee: do all 90 days, every step, and if you still think it did nothing for you, say so and you get every penny back, and you keep the book. The full terms are on the refund policy page, and they form part of these terms.

6. This is not therapy or medical advice

This is important and I'd rather over-state it. The book describes what one person worked out about his own life, written down as clearly as possible. It is educational and personal writing.

It is not therapy, counselling, diagnosis, or medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

If you are struggling seriously, or if anything you're experiencing feels beyond what a book should be handling, please speak to a qualified professional or contact a crisis line in your country. The book is meant to sit alongside that kind of support, never in place of it.

7. No promise of a particular outcome

I believe in the book and I stand behind it with the guarantee. But people are different, circumstances are different, and I can't promise you a specific result. Nothing on this website should be read as a guarantee that you will feel a particular way after 90 days.

8. Age

You must be 18 or over to buy. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, my liability to you for anything connected with the book or this website is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited, including death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

10. Changes

I may update these terms. The version that applies to your purchase is the one that was published on the day you bought. Changes are not applied backwards.
